How to disable IPV6 in windows-7 and windows-8

“IPv6 is the imminent next evolution of the Internet protocol, but it can cause problems with legacy equipment and DNS in certain environments. Disabling IPv6 is an easy way to fix certain network issues with Windows machines. If you’re not experiencing problems, there’s no reason to disable IPv6. Use Registry Editor to expand the registry tree and browse to:
\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\TCPIP6\Parameters
Add a Dword 32bit “DisabledComponents” then Double click on the new DisabledComponents value, enter ffffffff into the Value data dialog box, and click the OK button
Done.
